healthy spine involves being mindful of daily
activities. When texting (and Arctic Chiropractic, Sitka
knows our Sitka chiropractic clients and their families do a lot
of this!), Arctic Chiropractic, Sitka urges you
to read through text with your eyes and/or lift
your cellphone to eye level so
you do not over extend your neck.
When lifting boxes, use your legs in order to
shield your back muscles from injury.
When sitting, keep your knees even with your
hips, and sit as upright as possible to avoid slouching.
When sleeping, lie down on your back and put a pillow under the knees to decrease
the pressure on your spine.
When standing, keep your head level with
your ears above your shoulders to keep a straight, upright
spine.
